TeamUp is a breakthrough social-emotional school program that's been studied for effectiveness with funding from the CDC. Through brief weekly conversations over just one season, guided by simple play cards we provide, coaches disrupt pathways toward bullying, dating violence, and domestic violence.
Principles of teamwork and fair play make sports an ideal platform to teach healthy relationship skills. Coaches and players have a one-of-a-kind relationship that influences how young people think and behave. TeamUp makes it easy to talk about things like dating violence, domestic violence, stalking with two curriculums: Coaching Boys into Men and Coaching Girls into Leaders.
Founded in 1978, the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) is a membership organization of the state's 18 domestic violence service organizations. They provide services like counseling, support groups, emergency shelter, court advocacy, safety planning. CCADV supports members through capacity building, technical assistance, and a comprehensive training program.
